PG Department of Economics organized a guest lecture on the topic “Skills Required to Make One’s Place in the Corporate World.” The lecture was delivered by Ms. Sakshi Dogra, COE at Shri Ram General Insurance Company, Jalandhar. 

Article Writing Competition (30.3.26)

PG Department of Economics organized an Article Writing Competition on 30^th March 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Room No. 43. The event witnessed active participation from students of B.A., B.Sc., B.A. B.Ed., and MBEIT. The competition aimed to enhance students writing skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Participants chose different topics, and they expressed their ideas thoughtfully through well-structured articles on recent scenarios and current problems. They wrote articles on issues such as environmental challenges, unemployment, digital education, inflation, and social awareness. 

Quiz Competition (28.2.26)

Economics Association of PCM S.D College for women organised Academic Quiz Competition on 28th February 2026 at 9:40 a.m. in Room No. 13. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of B.A., B.Sc., B.A. B.Ed., and MBEIT. A total of 15 students participated in the competition, forming four teams. The quiz was conducted in five engaging and knowledge-based rounds. 

 Class Discussion on Artificial Intelligence (25.2.26)

Economics Association of PCM S.D College for women organized an insightful classroom awareness session on the topic "Artificial Intelligence in Everyday Life" in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC). The session was conducted in Room No. 50, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the growing importance and applications of Artificial Intelligence in modern society. The session was presented by Savita student of BSC Sem VI, who effectively explained the concept and significance of Artificial Intelligence in today's Digital Age. 

Discussion on Union Budget (2.2.26)

Economics Association of PCM S.D College for women organized a Classroom Discussion on the topic “How does current Union Budget affect common people?" on 02.02.26 at 11.40 a.m. in MBEIT lab. In class, students actively participated in discussion of the Union Budget 2026–27. 

Poster Making Competition (17.10.25)

The Economics Association, under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Entrepreneurs: Architects of Economic Growth” on 17th October 2025 at 1:40 p.m. in Room No. 43. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 13 students of B.A., B.Ed., and B.Sc. (Economics) Semester I. The students creatively expressed their ideas on the pivotal role of entrepreneurs in shaping economic progress and innovation. 

Badge Pinning Ceremony (4.10.25)

The Economics Association of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, organized an Investiture Ceremony on 4th October 2025 at 2:20 p.m. The event was held near the main stage in the gracious presence of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar. The ceremony marked the official induction of the newly appointed office bearers for the academic year 2025–26. 

The program commenced with a formal welcome address, by Head of Department. The audience included faculty members and students from various departments who gathered to witness the proud moment of leadership recognition.
