Guest Lecture on 'Gender Inequality'
Lecture was delivered by Dr. Tushinder Preet Kaur, Associate
Professor, Mittal School of Business, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara
on 28th February 2019. She spoke on the topic of 'Gender Inequality' and told
the students about its sources, consequences and remedies. She delivered her
lecture in quite an effective manner and students talked freely about the
issue.
Visit to 'Bhai Gurdas' Library, GNDU, Amritsar
Students of Master's in Business Economics and Information Technology
Semester IV paid a visit to Departmental Library of Punjab School of Economics,
Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar as well as the main library ‘Bhai Gurdas
Library’ of the university on 11.02.2019. Students visited the libraries in
order to review the literature required for the research work to be done for
the purpose of project making as prescribed in their syllabus. Students got greatly
benefitted by the cast resources of the university libraries. They came to know
about the minute details of the compilation and presentation of the project.
The visit proved to be immensely fruitful.
‘Cancer Walk-A-Thon’ on 10th February 2019 at Ludhiana
This was an initiative by 98.3 FM Radio Mirchi in joint collaboration with Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana and American Oncology Institute A Precision Cancer Care held at MBD Neopolis Mall and Multiplex at Ludhiana under the noble cause ‘Cancer ko karo cancel’. The students visited Prabhakar’s Wax Museum, an exemplary museum featuring wax replicas of culturally, politically and socially renowned figures plus ingenious artworks. The students also visited ‘Gurudwara Dukh Nivaran. The trip was fruitful in bringing forth an awareness of the fatal disease.
