Investiture Ceremony of Economics Association on 07.11.2017
Department organized Investiture Ceremony of the Economics
Association for the Session 2017-18 on 7th November 2017. Ms.
Vandana Bansal, Associate Professor in Mathematics Ramgarhia College, Phagwara gave
badges to the office bearers and executive members of the Association. She
encouraged the students to take up whatever responsibilities are given to them
and perform them to the best of their capabilities.
Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Importance of Vedic Mathematics in Today’s Competitive World’
The lecture was delivered by Ms. Vandana Bansal, Associate
Professor in Mathematics Ramgarhia College, Phagwara was organized by the Department. She made the students
familiar with numerous tips and tricks to do lengthy mathematical calculations,
which will help them crack various competitive exams.
Power point presentation on the topic ‘WTO & Agriculture’
The presentations were given on 1st September 2017. Students of B. A/ B.sc (Economics) – 5th semester participated in it enthusiastically. The activity proved fruitful in inculcating self-confidence among the students.
Group discussion on the topic ‘Capital Intensive vs. Labour Intensive Technique’
The Group Discussion was organized on 26th July 2017 in which students of B. A./
B.Sc. (economics) participated. It was an attempt to provide platform to the students to express their opinion on various issues.
Essay Writing Competition
An Essay writing competition was organized by the association on 8.8.2017. Twenty students of different classes participated in it.
