Guest Lecture (1.4.26)
PG Department of Economics organized a guest lecture on the topic “Skills Required to Make One’s Place in the Corporate World.” The lecture was delivered by Ms. Sakshi Dogra, COE at Shri Ram General Insurance Company, Jalandhar.
Dr. Sandeep Kaur welcomed the guest with a warm speech and introduced her achievements and professional journey. Dr. Divya Budhia, Head of the Department, along with other faculty members, welcomed her by presenting a planter as a token of gratitude. During the lecture, Ms. Sakshi Dogra shared her inspiring career journey. She explained how she chose B.Sc. Economics and later pursued MBEIT to shape her career in the corporate sector. She discussed the importance of developing communication skills, confidence, and professional attitude to succeed in the corporate world. She encouraged students to actively participate in college activities to build confidence and enhance their personality. She also motivated students to focus on skill development and practical learning for better career opportunities. The session was highly informative and motivating. Students actively listened and gained valuable insights about building a successful career in the corporate world. The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks, by Head of Department expressing gratitude to the guest speaker for her valuable time and guidance.
